First serious project car, taken about a year to get driveable (mostly due to having a toddler, moving and being lazy). The front struts were torn out of the towers, idle was shit, bad power, etc. I’ve done a full suspension refresh front and back, timing belt + water pump, new axle (other one is in the trunk), replaced whole intake track and a bunch of other small stuff like new headlights, hoses, etc.. Finally got the last suspension bit done tonight and went for a shakedown ride, amazing feeling putting that much damn work into a car and getting it driving again. Picture of when I bought it last year. Still looks the same, just drives fine now:
Learned a lot about working on cars this last year...

Good to see you’re not rocking the front plate, not sure why they even give you two.

Hah. It was on the road and running like a champ for about 2 weeks. I have some stupid clunking in the rear now I need to figure out (hopefully just a loose axle bolt or something). Good to know though, that makes the e39 stuff less intimidating.
